Creating A Gift Wrap Station

Picture one place to keep your bits, babbles, and wraps!  There are so many wonderful choices to store gift wrapping supplies. I wanted one concise place to store it all.

I got the idea from an online Organizing Summit I participated in this past fall.  Jennifer Maker presented several portable craft storage solutions.  I knew the cart option, was the way to go for my gift wrapping supplies.

PREVIOUS STORAGE

For years, I kept my supplies under the bed, hidden away from my family’s eyes.  It was tiresome pulling out different boxes and looking for other supplies just to wrap a gift.  After 15 years of storing my supplies this way and looking at these tattered boxes - I knew it was time for an upgrade.

THE CART

I purchased the 3-tier metal craft cart on wheels with accessory pegboard and hangers.  The 3 sides allow you to hang or store small wrapping supplies like ribbon, tape, scissors, etc. It also has a bottom plate to hold wrapping paper or tissue paper outside the metal trays. The wheels make it easy to get out of my closet.  And I can roll it into any room to wrap presents.

ADDITIONAL STORAGE BINS

Normally, I tell my clients to use clear plastic bins for storage.  But for this project, I really wanted to go all out with an aesthetically pleasing look – Christmas themed! It makes me happy every time I see these beautiful storage boxes.

CLEAR STORAGE BOX WITH REMOVABLE TRAY

I wanted to use one bin that had a practical side with great functionality. It’s a craft storage bin from the Recollections storage system. It comes with a pullout tray with small compartments.

THE FINAL REVEAL

I absolutely love this new wrapping station.  Everything is neatly stored away in one place. Simply pull it out and all of your wrapping supplies are at your fingertips. You can always see what you have and restock when you need to.

If you are wondering where I purchased these items, check out Michael’s. They have tons of craft storage options created to contain just about any type of hobby.

Happy Wrapping Everyone!
