FAB Find: FastTrack - Garage Organization Made Easy

Probably one of the hardest spaces to organize is the garage.  It’s a space that easily gets cluttered due to daily use.  Let’s face it, there are times when things don’t get put back where they belong and before you know it, the space is cluttered, messy and you can’t find what you are looking for.

For those of you looking for a great solution to getting this space under control, take a look at the FastTrack system by Rubbermaid.  After working in one of my client’s garage this summer, I couldn’t believe how easy it was to use.

WHAT’S GREAT ABOUT IT

It makes the garage organization simple! Once the main rail is installed, you can customize it any way you want it with a variety of hooks, shelves, and baskets.

It’s very durable and will hold a lot of weight once installed.  I loved how it helped to get everything off the garage floor. You can even hang a wheel barrel or small handheld power tools on these hooks.  It’s great!

EASY TO USE

Everything that hangs on the rail can easily be moved around once the rail is up. Hooks just slide and snap into place. I loved that I could move hooks over when I was organizing my client's garden tools without having to take something completely apart.

EASY TO CUSTOMIZE

No matter what your need is for different sections in your garage, this system allows you to fully customize using hooks, shelving, and baskets.  And talk about hook options – wow!  The FastTrack system has tons of hooks. Whether you need hooks for garden tools or hooks for power tools, they have a wide variety to choose from. Some hooks are more universal than others but I have to say it was nice hanging 3 rakes on one hook.  That saved a lot of space.

GETTING STARTED

My suggestion would be to purchase a 12 or 9-piece set.  This includes several pieces like track rails, a variety of hooks, and sometimes a shelf or basket. Depending on your space you can buy additional hooks or baskets to get the exact organization storage you need.

Definitely shop around and see what Home Depot, Lowe’s, and some of the other online retailers have to offer as each retailer options are a little different.

HAPPY SHOPPING EVERYONE!
